Parijat is my almost 13 year old. Today there was a shooting and bomb threat in her school. She chose to go knowing this was a rumor. I felt safe knowing the local law enforcement and the school assured us of all safety measures. However I was curious to understand how she views such incidents that we think of more politically than humanely. The conversation was unscripted and riveting...
The Story of an Artist and her Art, as narrated by her proud mama
At Be The Sequoia Coaching we feel very strongly about the motivators that enable us to make or accept change. They can come from a place of intense pain, or one of intense love. Which one do you resonate with? What enables you to make the transition?
At Be The Sequoia Coaching we love sharing thoughts and ideas. Do write in or ping me if anything about the New Year causes you to feel anxious.

What does this word mean to you?
Pain is a great teacher and ironically, also a great healer !
Why is it we live in a relative world when we are absolute and unique as our true selves? Some zinnias got me thinking.
Just like it’s important to put some distance between our eyes and the object for a clear vision and visual, it’s a similar analogy when we look at our own selves. Why is that space or distance important? Do you do this ? If so, what benefits do you see? If you don’t , why not ? And if this is something you want to talk more about, feel free to set up a free consultation call.
One of the greatest gifts we could give ourselves is that of our very own authenticity. Life and living, being and becoming, trials and tribulations, cause us to layer our true selves with many types of colors. Over time we often tend to forget who we are. As a life coach, I believe, that if we can work on our own authenticity and try and understand what keeps us from being our true selves, we can be incredibly successful in our lives in various capacities. This exercise is available to you with all of my gratitude and best wishes for you to use as you want to. Please feel free to reach out if you have more questions or would like to know more about my practice.
Life Coaching, Counseling, Mentoring, Therapy, etc, these words are often used interchangeably, but the distinction is extremely important. I invite you to watch this video if you would like some clarity on these terms.
A zoom call with fellow students sparked some thoughts that I felt needed to be shared. Do leave your own in the comments if you have a few minutes. What's something exciting your business offers? Say it here.

So much easier to know where a shoe pinches, when we have to walk in one that does, right? A slightly sliced middle finger can put a lot in perspective !
The mindfulness one gathers during Yoga, stays long after one has rolled up the mat.
Kindness and compassion are never overrated. Never.
Not everything is Unicorns and rainbows. Realities hit hard, as they will.
